About PDP Company...

The history of PDP began in the mid-1980's with a few coaches and teachers who were fundraising for their own groups and teams. These future founders of PDP began experimenting with a fundraising concept that was able to raise funds from outside the local community without the usual hassles involved with other types of fundraisers. After raising funds successfully for a few years at our local high school, other coaching friends and family began to ask about us helping them implement the fundraiser for their teams and groups.

As the word-of-mouth about the success of our fundraising program spread, we found ourselves being asked to assist more and more local schools. We brought in a full-time computer programmer to write our own software and help streamline our process. Building on our experience with our own teams and other local programs, our process became computerized, streamlined and managed in such a way that we could offer fundraising assistance to other coaches and teachers literally anywhere. This is how PDP Company was born -- people who were raising funds for their own kids' activities found a way to share the process with others. This idea -- to share something that has worked for us and to lighten the workload of other coaches, teachers, students, and parents -- remains the PDP mission to this day. The teachers and coaches who founded PDP still sit on the board today and our expanded staff of Project Managers continues to include coaches who run this fundraiser for their own teams.

Although PDP has grown to work with many schools around the country, it is important to note that we are not just "sales-reps" trying to sell you on some gimmick or product. We are people sharing something we have done successfully for ourselves. We are also willing to invest in the efforts of other coaches and teachers, which is why we have set up the PDP fundraiser so there is no up-front cost or substantial risk to others. We believe this "partnership" approach is rather unique as fundraisers go (we don't just hand you something and say "here, go figure it out").

This is one reason we have had much more success with this fundraising process than many others who have tried duplicating it. We continue to engage in a personal approach walking each and every client through our process. A Project Manager is assigned to assist and oversee the success of every project. Our Project Managers have a great deal of experience in organizing and running this fundraiser, because they have done it for themselves. All of us here at PDP enjoy sharing our process and seeing others succeed. You will find that the people at PDP are truly here to assist you and ensure this is an easy and effective fundraiser that you can rely on year after year.

Over the years, as we have improved and streamlined this process, PDP has not cut any corners on customer service, and we continue to do the many detailed tasks required to make this process successful every year. We feel this level of customer service is crucial, as our goal is to allow other programs to raise substantial funds while requiring very little work of their coaches, students, parents or teachers.

The result of our beginnings as a family business, founded by teachers and coaches, is that we continue to have the mentality today that all of our customers are part of the PDP family. Whether we are doing a fundraiser for our own team, or a friend's or anyone else's organization, we do our very best to ensure the success of the project because they are all part of our fundraising family. The PDP Company Motto is "In Support of America's Youth" because we take pride in our chosen profession and working with others with similar values dedicated to helping improve youth activities.
